Confindustria against the Plastic tax

Valter Caiumi, the president of Confindustria Emilia has expressed his disappointment against the introduction of Plastic Tax.
This tax, according to Caiumi, would affect the area emiliano romagnola, heart of the packaging valley, that hold the higher number of companies of the fund, 230 with more than 17.000 employees and an annual turnover of 5 billions of euros, equal to the 63% of the national turnover.
The president of Confindustria Emilia Romagna has highlighted the possible effects of his introduction: “within five years in Italy we will not have improved any production process and we will have reduced employment and active companies.
Once again an industrial policy next to an economical circular policy with an added value, is missing.
These action do not produce culture nor give the possibility to activate new innovative action to reach a solution in the medium-long period’.
