Coronavirus resistsup to four hours on copper, up to 24hours on cardboard and estinguishes only after 72 hours from plastics and stainless steel. These are the results of a research lead by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and pubblished on the website medrxiv.

The U.S. Researchers after having tested the virus resistence have sprayed it on the surfaces under the form of aerosol in a closed environment. They have also discovered that it can remain inthe air up to three hours. The scientists have explained that the situation is different in the real world as reported by professor RobertoCauda, Director of Infective Deseases at Gemelli Hospitals in Rome. “We are talking about lab trials. We have made a virus culture, we have tested them and  evaluated the longlasting.
However, when somebody widespread a virus does it together with biological material. To sum up what happens in a lab is not exactly the same as what happens in reality. It is necessary to be careful, but not to emphasize. However there are some good habits to follow, as clean the handles, desinfect the lift, to take individually”.
