The European Parliament adopted today its proposals to reduce plastic granule leakage along the supply chain.

Among the key provisions of the regulation is an obligation for economic operators to establish a risk assessment plan for each facility that handles more than 1,000 tonnes of plastic granules per year. The plans should contain detailed information on the volume of plastic pellets handled and the chemical composition of the polymers present.
